The only way to reach Hornstrandir is by boat from Ísafjörður. Borea Adventures and West Tours operate scheduled ferries (June-August). Book 2-3 weeks ahead. Flights to Ísafjörður from Reykjavík via Eagle Air take 40 minutes. Driving from Reykjavík takes 6+ hours via Route 1 and the Westfjords.
